Oh The Irony

I’m sure you know that one of the requirements of going to business school is to take the GMAT.  What you may not have known was that my decision to go to business school came out of a breakup.  At the time, I was debating between trying to find a job overseas or start a business – maybe go out to California.  Suffice it to say, I wanted to get out of the area.  I needed a change of pace and some distance.

Thus, I find it extremely ironic, and a tad bit amusing, that I now find myself taking the very same books that I used to study for the GMAT and giving them to an old girlfriend of mine – the same old girlfriend with whom I had said breakup.  The books I used to study for a test which would let me gain some distance from a bad situation are the very same books that I’m now giving to the person from which I needed the distance.  Funny, eh?
